The battery life on the device can range between 3 to 6 hours depending on the device and the amount of text displayed. Phone talk time is a good indication of battery life.

This message may happen during the course of your event; this is normal and does not typically interfere with the delivery of captions.

Do I have to be connected to the internet for the entire event?

Yes, in order to view the captions you will have to stay connected to the internet through the entire event.

Where can I use the service?

Anywhere you have a phone with mobileCAP installed that has active access to the internet via your wireless plan.

Who can I contact if my handheld stops working?

What should I do if mobileCAP "locks up"?

Should your BlackBerry device "lock-up" while receiving captions, exit out of the application (use the menu to exit the caption screen and again to exit the application), then start the application again and try logging back in. If your attempt to log back into the event fails, you will have to reset your BlackBerry by taking the battery out of the device for 30 seconds to reset your BlackBerry.

How do I change the font size?

1. Login to the event.
2. Click the trackwheel and choose the Options item.
3. Select Font Size from the menu.
4. Click the trackwheel and choose the Change Option item.
5. Select the new font size using the trackwheel.
6. Click the trackwheel and choose Save from the menu.
The new font size will be used on the next text update.

How do I test to see if the service works?

To do a test, login to a live demo by entering your name and 999999998 for the EventID on the login screen of the application.

How do I order captioning service?

If you would like to order an event or would like to inquire about our online ordering features, please contact our sales and outreach team at mobileCAP@captioncolorado.com

My BlackBerry consistently locks up while receiving captions - what should I do?

Should your device "lock-up" while receiving captions, please go to the Advanced Options and change your Network Service Type to BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS). The BIS method of connection may experience periodic lagging of captions. This usually only happens with the BB8830 because of the type of internal connection in the device.
